	Lobbying for the Right to Return AL-AWDA, THE PALESTINE RIGHT TO RETURN COALITION Third Annual International Convention UCLA, Los Angeles, California April 15-17, 2005 At Al-Awda's Third Annual National Convention, a workshop entitled "Lobbying for the Right to Return" was held. The well-attended workshop adopted the following decisions and recommendations for action: Voter registration drives, particularly targeting Arab and Muslim communities Write legislation supporting ROR to be introduced by sympathetic legislators Cultivate alliances with members of Green Party to strengthen its support for ROR Post contact information for Congresspersons on website Write, post on website, and maintain Al-Awda position paper on current Congressional legislation Write and post Activism 101 document on website Introduce resolutions on ROR in local City Councils Seek joint lobbying efforts with sympathetic religious and ethnic groups Identify individuals in geographical areas with Al-Awda chapters or members to organize lobbying visits, phone calls, and letter-writing to elected officials.
