Al-Awda's National Coordinating Committee Announces 2011 Annual Membership Dues

The National Coordinating Committee of Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition is pleased that since the announcement of annual membership dues last year, our organization now has dues-paying members in 30 states in the United States and in nine other countries. In addition, several new chapters of the organization are currently in the process of being
established in various cities in the US per the organizational by-laws, which define the mission and rules for participation in our organization.

After careful review, The National Coordinating Committee has decided to maintain the annual membership dues at the same level for 2011. We call on existing members, whose membership is up for renewal, to renew their membership. And we invite all those who support our mission and cause but have not yet joined us and paid their dues to do so. The annual membership
dues will remain as follows:

Family membership includes parents and their children up to 18 years of age.

In addition to the membership rights outlined in the organizational by-laws, any dues-paying member including monthly and annual sustainers of the organization will receive:

Membership dues provides much needed support for Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, and its educational and charitable programs which have grown significantly over the past ten years in our efforts to keep the right of Palestinians to return to their homes of origin central to any discussion of the Palestinian cause. They also provide greater transparency and accountability in terms of membership, the make-up of chapters and growth of the organization. The revenue from membership helps offset some of the organizational costs associated with the national office, website, documentation etc. Membership dues and the associated benefits are intended to strengthen participation in Al-Awda based on its mission, by-laws and points of unity.

Al-Awda's National Coordinating Committee, which is equivalent to the National Board and is made up of elected representatives from chapters of our organization, wishes to thank the members of our organization for their continued activism and support.
